We will be having drain lines and vent pipes coming up through the concrete slab. Should I really worry about putting something around these to separate them from the concrete or just pour the concrete up around them ?

Get a roll of sill seal and some duct tape

Thanks that sounds great. To make sure you are talking about the blue foam stuff that goes between the concrete foundation and the wood sill board ?

We do not put anything around them in this area. They are not going to "expand" and if the concrete moves you want the pipes to move with it.
