I am going to install a new basement bathroom right over top of the path of our sewer line. In an effort to figure out the layout, I was wondering if I can tap into the main sewer line from anywhere on that line.
Also, I have a question about vent stacks. Everything in my house vents out of one vent in some cases 6 feet away. No problems so far. Can I vent the bathroom vanity from 8 feet away? How?
