How do you know what is a finer or course screen on a sand point

Fine screens have smaller holes than a coarse screen. Coarse screens have bigger holes than fine screens.

maybe you can see holes in the thousands of an inch but I cant the sizes are #6 or #8 or #10 Thanks for your help
