OK, I am planning on having a bar sink under the bar
Or as we say in Mass, a "bah sink" :D

It's an "L" shaped bar, 7' on the side that runs to the drain/vent area
The sink will be located mayb 1-2' from that corner
So a total run of maybe 9'
Drain is not a problem, it can drop as much as needed
But am I "stuck" with installing an AAV ?

Or is something like this OK?
The vent/plumbing would be much higher up as I won't be running down under the floor

If you are NOT running it under the floor, how are you running it? Are you going to step over it when you go behind the bar?

The sink will be in the left corner behind the bar
There will be 12" cabinets/shelves along the left side of the L shape
There will be a 3" open area behind the cabinets/shelves

IMHO, Island venting would be the preferred method (though more complicated) rather than relying on a mechanical vent if they are allowed under your governing code.

IMHO, Island venting would be the preferred method . . .

Is that how they do it in the islands, mon? :p
