Reliant kitchen faucet

Just installed an american standard 4205.001 faucet with sprayer. When you use the sprayer water comes out of both the sprayer and the faucet. I assume this is not normal operation. Any suggestion on repairing this faucet. Or do i return the faucet for warranty replacement. Thank you for your suggestions.

You have a bad diverter, either because debris has gotten stuck in it or it is now working properly. Remove it and rinse it off then try it again. If it still doesn't work call American Standard and have them send you a replacement diverter.
