Well, I picked up a Gray Toto Ultimate Round tonight for $283. Now I am having second thoughts. I believe I can exchange it for the floor model Carlyle for another $100 or so. (The Ultimate is not a floor model).

I like the Round's depth - this is for a very small bathroom.

But I am worried about the low MaP rating. Will I regret owning the Ultimate? Should I try for the exchange?

I had a 325 MaP rated MS854114-01 elongated Ultimate for two years with heavy use. One plug in two years.

Way better then the other brands.

Though the Carlyle for $100 more is a bargain too.
If you get the Carlyle, the supply needs to be 7" to the left of center.
The Ultimate can be 3" to the left of center.

i.e. will i see extra flushes etc?

No.
The Ultimate was the original Toto design that changed everything.

Like I said, two years, one plug, I had to go look for the plunger on my plumbing van.
We had 30-40 people over on weekends, and parties of 100-200 people.
I also put four of them in my church in the womens bathroom.

You got a screaming deal.

Get the one you like and can afford. Any Toto will perform like a toilet should regardless of price so it's really hard to make a mistake.
