I am relocating the pressure tank from underground, just beside the well head. It is leaking, so rather than installing a new underground p. tank, i am putting it in the house ( is approx. 200 feet from the well.) The question is : There is 10ga wire there now, should i run 200 feet + 10ga wire to the pressure switch?. Is this the right size wire?. Question 2: Will that instalition work in the house?.

Relocating the tank!

I don't see a problem with the 10 ga wire if it has been working OK. I suggest that you consider replacing the underground tank with a Pside-Kick package manufactured by Cycle Stop Valves Inc. http://www.cyclestopvalves.com/products.html#domestic. This will give you a constant pressure while providing you variable flow. You don't need the usual large tank. Your family will love the constant city like pressure. The Pside-Kick lists for less than $600.00 that includes everything including the mounting brackets. All you supply is the pump which you already have.

If you don't know a supplier call Cycle Stop Valves Inc. at 800-652-0207
and they will refer you to a supplier in your area. If there isn't one in your area they will sell it to you directly.
