I will be installing a new sink soon and live in Washington State for code purposes. The new sink has only two holes; before I drill into it to add an air gap hole, is it possible to use an air gap faucet intended for reverse osmosis filtering to provide the air gap for the dishwasher?

I imagine the answer is no, but thought it would be worth a question.

Thank you for your expertise
Vanessa

an RO Air gap can not be used for a dishwasher. But they do make some really nice functional items to help with the air gap issue so you just don't have this chrome cap there.

The second to last picture is an air gap can be used if you plumb it in as shown in the last picture, granted its a dishwasher and RO air gap but they make it with just the dishwasher input.

Thank you for your help, I'd seen the air gap/cup dispenser before but not the combo with the soap dispenser. That looks like it might be a good option. It's also good to know that there are options to build into the wall, it's unfortunate that more builders don't just go that way automatically.

Thanks again
Vanessa

You are welcome. There are even more options, like a soap dish and a few others, just didn't want to flood the post with pictures.
