We are in process of remodeling an out-of-state rental property. We are remodeling the second floor bathroom - the toilet was to have been installed 15" oc from the wall - which I believe in minimum by code. It ended up at
14" oc and feels VERY tight due to the stool of the double hung window. One of the renters that will be moving in is a rather large man and if the space feels tight to me it will really feel tight for him. Unfortunately because we don't live close by the tile has already been installed on the floor over rock. I would like someone's opinion as to how difficult it would be to take up the floor and move the toilet over to the next joist. Would the wall behind also have to be opened up? Thanks.
