We just drilled a new 4" casing well, 136' deep, water at 125', about 10+ of water to draw from. We are using a Robison Solar pump, with two Solar panels. We got out expected amount of water flow of 1 to 2 gpm for about a day with a fair amount of sand. The flow diminished down to nothing because of sand in the casing jaming the pump. We removed the pump and cleaned it several times. There is about 8' of sand in the casing. We would like to use a hand "Sand Bailer" to remove this sand. The problem is finding one or plans to build one.....According to pictures I've seen, these are made out of a 3' to 4' length of 3 1/2" dia or sq. pipe with a "flapper valve" and dagger point to penitrate the sand at the drop end. If anyone has another idea on how to remove this sand please let us know.
