I am remodeling a bedroom and want to add a washer hook-up to the bathroom above at the same time. I drilled a 1/2 inch hole through the floor to the bedroom below to locate where the pipes will go through.
I can run all the pipes along the ceiling of the bedroom and connect them in without pulling down any of the sheetrock ceiling, I'll just put up a drop ceiling. The problem is, the connection point is about 8 inches up, which means I'll have what is equilalent to an eight foot P-trap
Is this a smart thing to do? Will it affect the draining of the washer? Also, can I use an AAV for this.
Thanks for your opinions. I LOVE THIS FORUM!
