I actually got to interview him for a newspaper back in the mid 80's, he is really a nice guy, really down to earth with a very funny sense of humor. He was a pleasure to meet. I watched his show all the time and followed it up afterward watching Yankee Workshop. I loved them both and have been a DIY'er for a long time, I pretty much will tackle anything, usually out of need.
