here is something I stumbled across
that gave me some laughs...and made me wonder
what they were thinking or how come they are
still alive.

basically its a photo album of a few hundred
plumbing mistakes and problems that inspectors have found
all across the USA.

its got a little bit of everything

and you can even go to other albums and look at re-model nightmares,
electrical and hvac problems too..

check out pic #65 ...it makes me wince...

I should snap a picture of something I found in the crawlspace of the house I just purchased...

There's 2 copper pipes running horizontaly towards the bathroom. Then there's 2 vertical pipes running vertically up into the wall from the crawlspace. How are they connected? 2 6 foot lengths of rubber hose, each neatly coiled around the other =/

Well, at least they're neatly coiled....................

As for #85........ Haven't you ever wanted to check your breakers while washing your hair??????????

that will cost someone a pretty penny
having the breaker box located in the shower....

which is cheaper , moving the whole breaker box or
just killing the shower??

Didja ever think that maybe the shower walls are to keep water out of the breaker box rather than keep water in the enclosure? There "just has to be an explanation....

thanks for posting this. :)

24 reminds me of a house I saw with a bathtub & toilet in the middle of the bedroom

Do you pros ever just refuse to work on these things because they are just too dangerous-I sure wouldn't even want to flip the circuit breakers on that thing...

Most of the time the people are just
too cheap , stupid , or proud to ever call a plumber....

thats why it is such the messs it is already...

a good example

I used to work a lot on mobile homes, but
on average they have been held together with
bailing wire and cousin --Billey Bob -- did the last
plumbing repair .....because they have no money to do it right..
and you find only a mess to deal with...

the last one I walked away from the water heater
had sunk down into the floor all the way to the metal
support beams under the trailer...it had leaked that long.

so I dont work on them anymore.

I once installed a Kohler Steeping Bath in the middle of a bedroom. No toilet however.
