I recently hired a plunmber to repolace the diverter in the tub. When the shower was put on, water also came from the tub spout. As the result of the new diverter, wanter now comes from the shower head when ehe tub water is put on. The plumber said this is the result of old plumbing since the water pressure is too strong so that when the tub water is put on, it also comes from the shower head. I feel that the plumber may not be correct. What do you think? thanks Ephraim

What kind of pipe material did he use? If he used plastic pipe, it is smaller inside, and the restriction will cause it to back up into the shower.
