Hi everyone. I just joined the forum. This is very cool. Thank You Terry. Buy the way my daughter in law is a Love also. My well was just replaced a month ago, and the well guy said i need a new p. tank. The well is about 200 feet from the house, the old tank is a bury one, and is bad. I have new p. tank, but it is not the bury kind. It is 25 gal. well saver. So should i install it down in my basement w/the p. switch on it?. I am worried that this will not work because the well is so far behind my house. Thank you to anyone that can help. Hope this is enough information. There are only two of us living here, 3 bedroom house.

I'm not a well pro, but that seems like a pretty small tank. Some are rated at the amount of captive water, and some by their volume, which has a considerable volume of that taken up with captive air. But, yes, the pressure switch would go at the tank, and in the basement is fine.

You'll have to dig up the old switch and remove it and splice the wires back together and take the old tank out of the plumbing. The water in ti above the bladder will be quite bad quality wise.
