50-year-old NFL commissioner calls it the most "physical, emotional and probably mental (http://seahawks.fandome.com/video/113954/Roger-Goodell-And-Mora-Jr-Climb-Mt-Rainier/)" challenge of his life.

Jim Mora of the Seahawks invited NFL commissioner Goodell to climb 14,411 foot Rainier with him.
I've seen a lot of people from the East show up in Washington State to try climbing Rainier.
What many don't expect, is the difficulty of breathing the thin air above 10,000 feet.
The staging point for the summit, Camp Muir is above that point. Sometimes just reaching Muir is enough for the body to just want to lay down and feel like vomiting.
Taking a few hours to adjust to the lack of oxygen helps to refocus.

Here was my climb of Rainier, that I did when I was 50.

It is amazing what we can do when we want it badly enough.
Terry, you ever going to make the climb again?

Terry, you ever going to make the climb again?

If one of my kids wants to do it with me, I will.
I'm getting kind of old for it though.
I don't mind the 8-10 mile a day back packs with 50 lbs and 2,000 to 4,000 elevation gains. But when you try stuff like that over 10,000 feet, on ice, it changes things.
