Main breaker box clearance

Hi,

I'm building a bathroom in my basement, which is largely unfinished. Due to lining up the bathroom with the edge of a glass block window, after building the walls there will be an 5' long, 36" wide hallway between the existing exterior wall and the outside of the new bathroom. From googling around, it appears that 36" is the minimum clearance around a panel, but I wanted to double-check. I will be getting all of this (plumbing & electrical) work inspected.

30 inches wide, 36 inches in front (some state/local codes require 48 inches) and nothing in the area from floor to ceiling.
