ABS foam core or solid ?

If ABS pipe and fittings are used for draining hot water from a dishwasher is solid core or foam core more desirable? What is the difference between the two? Thanks for any advice.

always do the solid....

the price difference is nominal...

probably less than 10 cents per foot....

so why not just use the heavy duty stuff

This is the first time I have used ABS. I assume the heavy duty stuff is solid. Does solid have a higher temp. rating?

Abs

Usually you have to use whatever the supply houses stock, but we use it for all drainage purposes.

I have seen foam core used on commercial dishwashers that looked like spaghetti after the 180 degree water hit it.
