New Well

I have driven a 2" well point with galvinized pipe 28ft, 9 in deep. I have water at 23 ft. This is my first adventure with any type of well. I was thinking I will just buy a shallow well pump and use 1 1/4 inch pipe. Would rather have advice before I make any purchases. What do you advise? Thanks. Robroy

23' is already right at the limit of what a shallow well pump can do. And that is before you start drawing any water, which will make it even deeper to water. I don't think you will ever get a shallow well pump to work from that depth. See this link;
