My husband and I just finished hand digging a irigation well...we sank the 2" PVC with the point on the end down and pulled the 3" casing up 4' to expose the point, cut it off and hooked-up the 1 1/2hp pump and hard wired it to the breaker box. We filled the pump up with H2O and turned her on...the H20 in the pump came right out, but after the pump running for about 10min. a burst of H20 came out for 10sec. and that was it. So we turned it off and tried again with the same results. So now we don't know what to do, we know we were down deep into the H20 because the sand sucker was bring up H20, the point is down about 29'. Any suggestions would be great because we need some water on our grass???

Trying to pull water up 29' is a stretch... I believe that 25' is about the limit. Perhaps you should try bringing the point up a few more feet.
