Hello,
I am wondering what size PVC pipe I should run for a sewage pump which will be in an unattached garage to the house. The run will be @ 120 feet and a total rise of @ 10 feet with six 90 degree elbows and check valve. This is in Iowa so the pipe will be set down in a trench below 42" (frost line). What size and type (schedule) PVC would you recommend. Also hope to lay in a fresh water supply pipe on top of this pipe. What size and type would you recommend for that? It will supply water for one bathroom with shower which drains into the above basin pump.
Thank you.

For the sewer line I would use sch40 2"
For the freshwater 3/4" or 1" sch40 should be fine.

You may want to check with the permitting department. There may be a separation rule or law, concerning the separation of waste water line, from freshwater lines.
Most places the rule is 10 feet separation.

PEX for supply OK?

Travis,
Thanks for the reply. Would PEX tubing be acceptable/preferable for the supply in this situation?
