We just had our bathroom floor tiled, and I noticed tonite that that toilet flange is not parallel with the tiled floor. I knew it was going to be low, and expected to use a 1/4" extender. Getting down and measuring it, it runs from 1/16" low on one side to 3/16 low on the opposite. This may be because the subfloor wasn't perfectly level and some leveling compound was used. Not really sure this is the reason, but didn't notice it was cocked before. I would assume I could still go with the 1/,4" extender and the wax ring will take care of the 1/8" ?

I'd use the extender and a standard wax ring...

If there's a next time, do it right and mount a new flange on TOP of the finished floor.

Securing one of these on the low side might work or might give you more problems than the original. Hard to say.
