hey maybe this pex info is all old stuff to everyone here
I dont know, but its interseting reading.
http://www.chemaxx.com/polytube1.htm
tests with new pex pipe as of nov 2004
you buy a 1/2 million dollar house and you are
told you should run your water for two minutes
every morning to get the smell and
taste out of the system, and its
good to do this for at least 6 months
till the pipe "breaks in" and stops stagnateing
the bad taste and smell to the lines during the night....
that would certanly piss me off if it were my house
and I was required to do that every morning.
I also found it interesting that this company investigateing
these problems was basically put in a "time out "
period for more than 2 years becasue they were hired by
a PEX company to do some """special research"",
and so it was a conflict of intereste.
DUHH-- I wonder what was going on there.
smells fishey
