Turn handle to the right for hot

I have a Delta single lever shower faucet which uses the Delta DEL7006 NS old style cartridge.

I removed the cartridge to clean debris from the water lines.

After reassembling the faucet, I find that for cold water I must turn the handle to the left and for hot I must turn the handle to the right.

What did I do wrong

That is not the actual Delta P/N it is the number that Alfano's use...

I suspect it or part of it has been rotated 180 degrees.

Did you take the cartridge itself apart at all or did it stay just like in the picture?

I did take the cartridge apart and have reassembled it both ways. I also tried to insert the cartridge in the housing with the hot side on the right and on the left.

If you insert the core into the faucet 180 degrees from the way you removed it, it HAS to change the hot and cold operation. The only ones time it does not work is with Moen, Mixet, and some Grohe stems.
