I am looking at the Toto Drake after some rave reviews and was talking about it with a friend who told me they recently got themselves a Kohler K-11471-0 (white) Wellworth. I asked about potential clogging as I read that some Kohler products are prone to clog and they gave it the thumbs up.

Has anyone seen any information or reviews about the Kohler K-11471? I'm not sure if it is a pretty new one or what but I haven't seen too much about it.

Please refrain from comments about the Toto or saying to just bite the bullet. I'm seeking opinions and information about the K-11471 only. I've read great things about the Toto and have a good understanding of where it stands (or may sit).

That is the water closet I always recommend, and sell to all my customers. Also have two in my own home, I have always been very happy with it.

You should check what innards are used and where they can be obtained. Kohler has had a reputation of having parts that only they sell from the factory and at a price you can replace the toilet for. That may or may not be true with this model.

That's definitely something that I overlooked, I'll have to check that out. Thanks for the feedback

That model has kohler's "canister flush valve" in it, in other words that probably means it'll be hard to get parts for it.

I never had any trouble getting parts from Kohler for any of their products. As for the Wellsworth any plumbing supply house that selling that model will have parts for it. As I have said many of times I sell and install these units and everyone is happy with the performance.

what if the only places that sell it are HD and lowes? that's how it is over here the supply houses actually refuse to sell Kohler and American Standard cuz they're sold at the box stores.

All the plumbing supply houses I go to in the Chicago land area sell Kohler. If a supply house refuses to sell a product because the big box stores sell them its their loss. With that thinking I guess I have to stop selling Zoeller pumps since the hardware stores around here sell them.

SewerRatz,
Do you still feel the same about the cannister flush valve? I have some of these valves that I can't keep them to stay up long enough to really flush anything. It's staying up long enough to only let half of the water down, if that; then it closes. It closes right away, actually and does not stay up. Know anything to remedy this problem?
