Hello,
I bought a vanity w/sink and faucet on craigslist. all in mint condition, kohler faucet.

But I am stuck. I have my hot and cold braided shutoff,
and on the sink (as you can see from the picture) I have the existing copper supply pipes still attached.

Am I suppose to remove the old copper pipes and attached the braided connection directly to the sink (removing the the copper tubes)? Or is my supply connect to the copper pipes with some sort of connector I dont have.

any advice would be appreciated.

You can buy an in-line coupler that would connect to the existing copper supply lines with that ferrule and nut. It will come with a nut and ferrule for both ends of the connector...you won't need either of them if you use the one on the copper, and then the supply hoses will connect to the other end of the connector.

Now, I can't see the bottom of the existing faucet...if it has a fitting on it and it's not soldered in, you could remove the piece of pipe there, and run your new flex supply lines all the way there.
