Hi,

I have a BBQ tomorrow and i need help fast!!!

Today i needed to fix the cold water tap upstairs in the bathroom and so i turned the stop cock off and then ran the bath tap untill the water flow stopped i then undid the bolt on the tap and done what i needed to i then put everything back and turned the water supply back on this is were my problem comes into play, After turning the water back on i heard the pipes filling up and the tank upstairs {in the loft} filling up and when i turned the tap on downstairs in the kitchen everything was fine lots of water pressure as before but when i went back up to the bathroom the cold tap in the sink and the bath was already on but there was no water coming through at all. So i turned the taps off and waited an hour thinking that the tank just needed to fill up but its now been 6 hours and i still have between little and no water coming out upstairs. The toilet does fill up but only after 15 minutes.

Please can one of you lovely people help me i have 25 people coming round here tomorrow and i need my water pressure back on infact im missing it and getting very lonely without it :) No seriousley please help im in a world of trouble with the Mrs and i will be up a creek without a paddle tomorrow!

Kind Regards
Rob

You are in trouble

you must have an ond house with galvanized pipes???

Its nearly impossible to back flush the cold side too

have you looked along the system to see if their might be
a shut off valve in line that might be gonig up to the cold
system upstairs??
sometimes their is simply a lone stop that gets clogged up with sediment
and needs to be turned on and off a bit....if you are lucky.

if you got galvanized you are probably going to
only make things worse --taking this next step at your own risk...

you can maybe just lightly rap on the pipes a little bit with the
palstic handle end of a large screwdriver--- it might dislodje
whatever you got into the line and IT MIGHT MAKE IT WORSE

if you dont feel lucky maybe you better call a plumber
