Need Help! I replaced my bathroom floor and found that the existing flange was to high. I used an inside pipe cutter to remove the existing flange thinking that I would simply be able to attach a new flange. My major oversight was not factoring in that the existing flange was an outside fit over an 3" ABS pipe. So I'm left with the 3" pipe with a section of the old flange on the outside of it (OD 4", ID 3") - see pic. I've read from previous posts that a flange that fits inside a 3" pipe is not a good idea. Any other suggestions?
I'd prefer not to have to rip up a section of my new floor, and I cannot access the pipe from the room below.
