Good Morning,

I'm trying to repair a leaking, broken valve stem on the pictured Kohler product. I can't seem to remove the conical collar that surrounds the offending mechanism, and have tried turning it and prying it up. Do I have to get at it from underneath the sink? What's a good product to remove the "ick" once I have it repaired?:confused:

Thanks,

George

It looks like the little round button at the inboard end of the lever is covering a screw. The button will either pry off with a knife, or possibly unscrew. That screw will remove the handle, and go from there.

Vinegar and a Mr. Clean miracle sponge will help on the chrome. A pumice stick may be necessary for the porcelain.

Help with Kohler Faucet

Hi Jimbo,

Removing the handle doesn't accomplish what I wish to do. I still can't remove that chrome collar around the stem to remove and replace it.

Thanks,

George
