Copper 1/2 inch Tee in

I am going to try to Tee into an existing 1/2 copper supply. When i cut the supply line I feel it may be hard to move the ridgid pipe apart (due to other anchor points) to get the Tee in. What is the normal practice here. I think maybe I have to cut out a bigger section than the tee and use couplings without stops to achieve this? Is this the best way?
 
Yes, but I am always surprised at the lengths I have seen licensed plumbers I have had round try to avoid that.

Some have pulled the pipe hard so it just squeezes in, others have heated the pipe to bend it to avoid using 45s.

But no-stop couplings must be the way to go.

Another guy used an electric saw to cut my water pipe, when he could have just used a hack saw. The vibration from the saw was so strong it split apart one soldered joint.

And these were all good companies.

It's as if some plumbers get bored....

If that really happened, he did you a favor, because ANY solder joint that can come apart was a bad one and could have failed at any time. I do what works in the shortest period of time, therefore, I would NEVER spend time annealing the tubing so it could be bent. If it can be sprung apart so the tee can be inserted, THAT would be the fastest way.
