Hi everyone,

Can someone please tell me how I can fix a leaky fill valve, which is not shutting off? I see water trickling around it, there's water running down the middle pipe and the water is rising over the pipe and running in. Thus I have the water trickling into the bowl.

The make is Kohler Ingenium 1.6 Gfp.

Any suggestions please?

Cheers,

Steve.

Kohler sometimes uses weird, custom guts to their toilets, but some can use a more conventional replacement like a Korky or Fluidmaster. So, it may be easier to just replace the thing for about $15 in parts for a new one than mess with what's there. If you are lucky, you might find a replacment seal or gasket for that one, but you may have to wait for Kohler to send you one, since few places carry parts for them. One of the pros may be familiar with that model and offer more specific answers. If the thing isn't too weird, a replacement may be the best answer, then you'd be able to pick up parts locally at any plumbing or home center store.
