I noticed yesterday that my sink drain was not connected to the tailpipe. After many tries, I was able to screw it back together (see picture). That no longer seems to be an issue. However, it's not on very tight; does the tail pipe need to be replaced with a plastic slipnut?
Also, see the other attached pic. Water is also leaking from the drain itself. You can see a drop. Does this mean I need a new drain?
This work was done by plumbers who screwed up many things in my house. Let me know if it looks like bad work.
