I'd like to put a new bathroom (just sink and toilet) into my basement. the sewer line runs along the basement wall (exposed and with a gradual downward slope) where I want to put the bathroom.

my question is: should I use one of these pre-fabbed grinder-pump-type toilets or use a rear-discharge toilet (either wall or floor mount)? where can I find out about the details of installation? Is this a professional job or can a novice (like me!) handle it?

thanks!

Installing a new bathroom is not something a novice should attempt. There are many ways to screw up and only a few (like maybe just one) way to do it right. Bite the bullet and pay the man.
