In our bathroom there is a terrible odor when we put the fan on. It seems to be sucking the smell out of another drain. We think it is coming from the sink drain, but are not sure. We are on septic. It has been doing it since we moved in about three years ago and we can't seem to come up with an answer. The origional owner built the house in 1970 and we are not sure he knew exactly what he was doing because of other construction issues. We know the bathroom has been remodeled, but we don't know when or what was done.
