Found a leak, water is dripping from the drain line of an upstairs bathroom. The piece is 3" from the toilet, with a 1 1/2" line that comes in from the opposite side, (Tub). The leak is around the lip on the top, after the 90 bend to turn it vertical, from where the toilet comes into it.

Can't really see the whole thing, and thinking it was a 'poor weld' that just couldn't cut it anymore, decided to dry it as best we can, didn't use it for three days, then BLASTED it with silicone :D That's the silicone bulging out where the water is STILL  leaking in the picture. The picture is looking up through the ceiling, and there is more 3" that goes straight up from above the leaking area...

Guess that's why we have 'skilled' plumbers... Is there anything I can do that doesn't involve replacing the whole piece???

That is ABS black plastic drain pipe and fittings, not PVC (white plastic for plumbing).
You might try scraping and sanding the silicone caulk off of the immediate area of the leak, to see if it comes apart or is just leaking at a certain area.
Whichever, you can dry it with a hairdryer and seal it with ABS glue (not PVC glue).
There should be little to no pressure on drain pipe.
Good Luck!

If that whiteness is from the leak and not the silicone, then the fitting may be cracked. Otherwise the only good, long term, solution is to cut the 90 out, drill the pipe out of the tee, and make new connections.
