I purchased 3 of these outstanding toilets to replace 3 old 5gal toilets. I did one first, then after everyone was happy with it, did the other 2.

All toilets flush just fine, however one of them after it sits for awhile (few hours) has reduced water in the bowl (smaller water spot). I see no leaks, I see about the same amount of water in the tank, checked for air leaks on top - nothing. After another flush the right amount of water is in the bowl, then after a few hours it is lower again.

What can it be, and how do I fix it? Any ideas?

Does anyone toss dental floss down the water closet? I seen where the floss catches in the trap way and slowly siphons the bowl down. A partial blockage can be a cause too. Or the water closet has a defect in the bowl in the trap-way casting.

I opt for #2.No pun intended.

There is nothing you can do. The bowl is probably defective internally. Well, there is one thing you could do, and that is damage the flapper so it leaks water into the bowl and keeps it full.

I would too. I never had good luck withthe gerbers. Everytime someone requested them or bought a water closet from a big box store I sell them a good plunger.

I instsalled 3 of these and they flush great. Only problems with one. There is no floss. I plan to pull the toilet and try it standing on blocks to check the bowl itself.

These toilets have no flappers, they are pressure assist.

Scott,
I was hoping it was that way but just received word from Gerber that it is just the opposite.

"Jeff
That is exactly how the unit works. When you push the handle down, in the normal manner, you get the 1.1 gallon flush. When you push the handle up you get the 1.6 gallon flush. Please let me know if you have any other questions."
