I'm remodeling a bathroom and have to use a toilet with a 10" rough-in and want to buy a Toto (probably the Carlisle). Do any of you experienced hands have some advice for me before I head down this route? Any problems with the Unifit system, epecially the 10"? Any installation tips?

BTW- the closet flange will be mounted on top of the tile- from what I gather, that is the correct way to install a closet flange.

Thanks!

The tile will need to be drilled for the four back mounting screws.

If the toilet needs to be shimmed, shim at the back, pinning the front of the bowl down.
Then tighten the bolts down.

The water supply needs to be at least 7" to the left of center, or it will hit the back of the bowl.

It's a good toilet, sort of a deluxe Ultramax.
I've installed plenty with the 10" unifit.
