I need to obtain a replacement drain assembly for an old clawfoot tub.
Like these: http://www.shopping.com/-clawfoot+tub+waste+drain+covers

There are a number available online.
Can anyone advise me as to the best quality brands?

(The plumber is not familiar with these products because we are in an area where old houses and old tubs are uncommon.)

I don't know of any recommendations for tub drains.
At any rate, they are easy to install and replace.
Most tub drains like that are good for years and years.

The last one was good for 93 years. Here's hoping the next one does as well. :)
Thanks.

drain

There is nothing unique to a leg tub drain, other than contemporary ones are usually plated so they look nice, and many of the "authentic" ones use 1 3/8" tubing.
