How to clean a submersible pump?

Hi all,

I am upgrading my HVAC system to a new geothermal system, an open loop GSHP. In doing so , I needed to upgrade my well pump to accomodate the furnace and my household water. Anyways, my old well pump was running when I pulled out.
What should I do with it, to clean it, and keep it ready to run my furnace in case of an emergency pump failure?

I don't think you would like trying to put a sub back together after taking one apart. It can become very confusing once all apart. Usually subs are pulled out because they broke and they are thrown away. Just everything else in this Bic economy.

might try leaving it in a bucket of CLR for a bit.
