I am new here,, can you help???

I woke this morning to find my well cap is overflowing,,, I called well people, but they haven't called back,,, what should I do what could be wrong.

Can you tell us a little more about your system? I wouldn't think it's a big deal as far as being in a hurry. As long as water keeps coming out, the pump is working and not heating up.

Thanks for answering,

It is a submersible pump, and quit deep, but that is about all I know. I know I should know more but I don't. We are in the tidewater area of VA.
I know the pump is at least 22 years old as that is how long we have lived in the house. The house was built in 1970, very high end construction for the time.
I have turned off the pump right now, as I was starting to lose pressure and there was a lot of water in the yard.
The Well service has not returned my calls as yet.

Most Well Drillers work out of their home and are not near a phone during the day. He may call you tonight. It shounds like you have a hole in your droppipe in the well and it's squirting out the top. Given the age, there is no shame for it.
