Having read here and elsewhere, stared at product spec sheets, I still have questions. 1) What is the difference between the Aquia I and II? I find only tiny dimensional differences on the spec sheet. I note that Terry is selling IIs (CST 416) not Is (CST 414). 2) It seems from my reading of test results that elongated bowls flush better than round--is that a law of the toilet universe? I have a small half bath, looking for a WaterSense toilet that will fit (12" opening), 26.5" from wall to doorway. Information? Advice? Thanks in advance.

OK, Rookie mistake!

I found some of the info I was looking for here on the forum. I understand the difference in the interior plumbing of the Aquia I and II. But, I still need a small toilet! Advice?

26.5" is too narrow for an elongated toilet; I suggest you think of a
round front Toto Drake toilet, 27.50" from back wall.
American Standard Cadet3 toilet, 28.25" from back wall
Toto Aquia, 27.75" from back wall.

If you set on getting an elongated toilet, the Toto Aquia toilets are nice, but they all are elongated models. The Aquia v1 has the higher MAP rating , a different design, and a different installation from the other two versions.
