Lightning strike on an aircraft are really not that big of a deal...

Damage is usually limited to entry and exit points, Usually something like a antenna gets blown away...

That is true, but I used to fly single engines ( before I got married I was learning) and that is still a pretty scary event. I mean, lightning, not marriage, lol.

Usually just a bit of damage like this...

But there are instances where the lightning strike has caused loss of the aircraft....
