My neighbor with a house just like mine built the same year (1957) by same builder just had to have his main waste line replaced after some roots (11ft down) blocked it up.
Is it a good idea to have the sewer line video'd and then possibly snake/cleaned out?
I guess I'm thinking if there's a few small roots getting in I can get them cleaned out before they ruin the line (which is clay by the way).
I'm wondering if the cleaning could actually damage the lines?
Should I just skip the video (and cost of $250) and just do a cleaning with the idea that after 50 years there must be some roots?
What should something like that cost?
