Every person ever elected to the job was probably over their head when they started. And no one is ever prepared for the ^%$#%^# to hit the fan, like 9/11, cuban missle, Kuwait, etc etc. But some have performed notably well ( Reagan, Kennedy, G.H.W. Bush, Lincoln) others have botched it ( Clinton, Jimmy Carter, W )

I like what I see in the governor, and am willing to give her a shot at it.

I think Obama will be over his head if he takes over Bushes job...At least

she has been running the State of Alaska for 2 years and was mayor of a

town of about 9,000 for 6 years...Obama has been in charge of nothing...

rarely does the VP take over the presidents job, it is normally not a consideration most people take when they decide who they will vote for.

I question which list G.H.W. Bush belongs on...
Many of the 9/11 problems were smoldering sparks that he tossed out there in his tenure with the CIA.
Phew! Dubya has definitely blown it!
It might take decades to sort out the mess he's created...
Whoever wins in November has a helluva mess that is going to drop in their lap...

Troopergate? (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080901/ap_on_el_pr/cvn_palin_troopergate;_ylt=AqoD1EAe7JA7c85UcLP_SAk b.3QA)

Well in the absense of available dirt on Sarah Palin the media has gone after the kids...

Which seems hardly fair. The kids aren't running.

I grew up the son of a local judge.
If I got pulled over, I would get a ticket, and a lecture.
My friends got warnings. A warning?

One time the patrol car followed me for a mile just so he could give me the ticket in front of my parents house.

It's been a long time since I've had a ticket now.

She is going to be in over-her-head if she ever has to take over McCain's job.

She has more actual experience politically than Obama, along with much more results.

I'd sooner vote for her for pres than Obama.

It does make it more interesting.
But I'm still not ready to say who I would be for.
Is it the shoes we should be looking at?

I forgot about him. Maybe a triumvirate will nominate the cabinet. But if they expect Jesse to help, they have to be sure to have some TV cameras around.

Whoa! I'm a bit taken aback by anti-Obama slams here!

So you guys like the way the last 8 yrs have gone?

You want to continue to see jobs for you, your kids, and their kids shipped overseas?

No dirt on Palin?! Are you serious?

Just wondering....

You want to continue to see jobs for you, your kids, and their kids shipped overseas?

And Obama is really going to do something different?

I've got some oceanfront property in Montana I'll give you a helluva deal on...

I got a question for you...
How many career politicians signed the Declaration of Independance and the Bill of Rights?

I'm ready for that open season on career politicians...
Kill em all let God sort em out!

Whoa dude! Some heavy duty venting going on there!

How many career politicians signed the Declaration of Independance and the Bill of Rights?
Not sure about the answer to question number 2?

How about this? Of the signers of DOI and BOR, who would you have voted for?

Don't start the revolution w/o me! :D

I honestly don't want to vote for either this time around. The thing that scares me with McCain is will he be any different than Bush? I think those two have share alot of the same views and I don't think the world can handle another 4 years of that. I'm a die hard republican but Bush flat out F'd things up. I do have to disagree about Clinton being on the bad list. The country was in a helluva lot better shape back then. Hell I'd vote for slick willy over these two. He may have stained a dress but he was liked by most.:)

McCain is getting up there in age -- what happens (god forbid) if he kicks the bucket after one day on the job?

Then the MIL* will be president...
What else did you think would happen!

Yea- I know -- just a rhetorical question.
