Hello,
I've purchased a pressure balance bath faucet that gives the option to either sweat 1/2 copper or thread 1/2" npt copper on and then sweat from there.
My issue is that in the instructions (Danze faucet) a disclaimer states that you may not generate enough heat with propane or map gas using 95% or greater lead free solder.
I'd really like to sweat the fittings instead of threading, as I'm guessing that the sweated joints will stay leak free longer.
I'd like to know if anyone has sweated this type of joint, or if most prefer to thread onto the faucet and then sweat from there.
Thanks,
Dave
