I'll be tapping into my main line leaving the house (it's cast). My new plumbing is ABS sch40. I was planning on doing this with a rubber boot from Lowes. But their boot only comes in a 90. Does someone make one of these in a 45? It's the little details that can bite you in the end!

If you are cutting into cast, I would use a no hub cast iron wye from a plumbing supply house, and no-hub bands.
If it's the old 4-1/8" outside diameter cast, then you would use a copper x cast no-hub coupling.

You can cut the pipe with a snap cutter, which you can rent.

I can't think of any place anyone would want to install one of these above ground never mind below ground!

FYI... Do you have any idea what my snake would do to that rubber when I try to snake roots out of your line? It is junk that should not even be sold!

Get a 4" pvc wye, 2- 4" fernco couplings or stainless steel clamp all's and do the rest as Terry said, rent a snapper and Ta da!
