I have a Kohler 9527 3 Way Diverter Valve for the Whirlpool. My question is Do I have it hooked up right. No Instructions its a discononed model and kohler has nothing but the parts drawing.

Let me see if I can make this clear. The Conections are as follows 2- male conectors opposite each other on bottom one fits the hand held wand so I hooked it up there and the other I used to supply the tub spout. Just above that in oposite directions are 2- 1/4 male fitings which 1 I used to supply mixed water from the 2 water supply values and the other I capped. On the 3rd level Directly above the hand wand is a 3/4 inch male conector which I caped.

My problem is that the diverter valve in the down position doesnt send water to the tub or the Hand Wand. In order to get water to them I have to pull the diverter handle up and turn it.

Should I hook the tub up to the upper male conector and cap the lower conector which is now hooked up to the tub spout. Should water come out of the tub with the diverter off?
Now even when I turn the water on with the faucets I dont get water anywhere until I pull up the diverter.

Help

We cannot follow your description of how you made the connections. A picture or drawing might make it clearer. Didn't you get instructions with the diverter?
