Wall-Mount Toilet

I am replacing a wall mount toilet and realized that the bolts coming out from the carrier are not the recommended 2 1/8". So, there is not enough bolt to connect the nut to. Is there any way to remedy this without replacing the entire carrier? Thanks in advance for your help!

You can cut the wall and access the threaded rod as it attaches to the bracket.
Sometimes you can unthread the rod a bit.
Even if you get 1-7/8" it will help.
