I have a sand point well. It has always worked ok but recently, I have been getting a LOT of sand in my water. Not just a little sand but enough to fill a small bucket! I tried to run the water for an hour or so and it seemed to clear up eventually only to come back again a day or two later. Now my pump won't prime. Did the sand destroy the pump? It sounds like it is running but won't prime. Do I need a new well or just replace the filter or something?
Why did it all of a sudden stop pumping water? I have to believe it has something to do with the sand but I really don't know.
