Bathroom sink overflow smell

We have a very strong smell coming out of one of the two sinks originating from the overflow area. It is the only sink to stink. Anyone know a reason why.....moldy smell.

It is a common problem although you are one of the few who have identified the source without input from this site. Pour a drain cleaner such as LiquidPlummer through the overflow to burn out the accumulated stuff in it.

Thanks so much for the advice. It lead to a thorough cleaning using Draino down the overflow. It seemed to do the trick. Thanks again...Sherri
